Dear North Shore Minor Lacrosse Association Families,
As COVID-19 developments continue to unfold, our top priority is the health and well-being of our lacrosse families and community partners. We are closely monitoring and following the guidance and direction of public health and governmental authorities which at this time means no lacrosse activities for any member of the association until further notice.
Consistent with public health orders and social distancing mandates, we have been advised that our Harry Jerome facility rentals have been cancelled through to the end of May and similarly, our outdoor boxes – Inter River and Kirkstone, are closed and locked to the public indefinitely.
At this time, our governing bodies are advocating a wait and see approach as they would like to see box lacrosse continue in some form this season. Accordingly, the BC Lacrosse Association announced April 1, 2020 they are continuing the postponement of all in-person lacrosse activities until May 1, 2020.
At this time, we are asking families for their patience during these uncertain times and specifically, to hold off on requesting season refunds. We are communicating with our governing bodies to figure out next steps for the association in a timely manner.
Thanks very much in advance for your patience and understanding.
Stay safe!
North Shore Minor Lacrosse Association Board of Directors
